Mahmoud Al-Banna, the referee of the Al-Ahly and Al-Jaysh match, was most famous for the yellow card to Hamdy Fathy in the 42nd minute, after he obstructed Amr Gamal, the Tala'a Al-Jaysh player, in a joint ball, so that the Al-Ahly player got the third warning and missed the Dervish confrontation.
Al-Ahly coach Pitso Musimini replaced Hamdy Fathy in the 63rd minute of the match, and Taher Taher went instead to activate the front line.
The positive tie continued, with a goal to the same, controlling the Al-Ahly and Al-Jaysh match, after 78 minutes had passed since the current match at Al-Salam Stadium within the activities of the fourteenth round of the League.
Ahmed Samir advanced to Al-Jaysh Al-Jaish in the 26th minute of the match, from a direct free kick, which was considered by Mahmoud Al-Banna, the referee, in favor of Al-Jaish.
