The Italian Minister of Health: 54% of the cases of corona in the country are from the British strain

Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza warned of the seriousness of the epidemiological situation in the country, as more than 54% of "Coronavirus" infections are from the rapidly spreading British strain.

"The national vaccination campaign will accelerate with the arrival of 50 million doses in the second quarter of this year to limit the spread of the virus in the country," Speranza said, in a statement reported by the Italian news agency ACI.

The Italian minister also expressed his hope for transparent and reassuring answers about the AstraZeneca vaccine from the European Medicines Agency tomorrow, Thursday.
