Deputy Commander of Joint Operations in Iraq, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Special Security Committee for the elections the plan to secure the legislative elections scheduled for next October.
Alsumaria News reported that the meeting included discussing the challenges and preparations of the security forces to secure the electoral process before and after its launch.
The Iraqi Elections Commission had announced earlier that 71 international invitations had been issued to participate in monitoring the legislative elections, noting that the calls for monitoring included 52 Arab and foreign embassies and 19 international organizations.
