Today, Tuesday, the Sudanese Attorney General, Taj Al-Sir Ali Al-Haber, issued a decision to form a committee to investigate and investigate the previous and recent events that took place in the city of El Geneina and Karding camp, in West Darfur (western Sudan).
The decision specified the competence and authorities of the committee to investigate and investigate the recent events that occurred in El Geneina and Karding camp, which led to the death of citizens, and damage to public and private property, and their repercussions, and to know the causes that led to the occurrence of the events and the perpetrators, and the measures taken by the state and local authorities.
The decision gave the committee the powers of the public prosecution mentioned in the Public Prosecution Law, including bringing the accused to trial, and the decision named the head and members of the committee, and authorized it to seek assistance from whomever it deems appropriate, provided that it submits its report within a period not exceeding two weeks from the date of its commencement of its work.
