Somali Defense Minister meets US Army Commander in Africa

The Somali Defense Minister, Hassan Hussein Hajj, met the Commander of the US Army in Somalia, Stephen Townsend, after the US Forces Africa Command announced the complete withdrawal of its forces from Somalia. The Somali News Agency said: The meeting discussed cooperation and military relations between Somalia and the United States of America and activating the war on Al-Shabaab terrorist movement, which is taking place in many regions of the country.

The talks also touched on the support provided by the United States to Somalia, especially in training the national army and enhancing the efficiency of the Somali armed forces.
