Libyan media reported that 3 Turkish military cargo planes have landed at Al-Wataya base since the morning. Meanwhile, a meeting between the Libyan Government of National Accord and the interim government began in Brega to discuss unifying the general budget.
The Libyan parliament confirmed that the political dialogues sponsored by the United Nations Mission in Libya are a reconciliation and settlement between the Libyan parties present in the political scene, and not an invitation to run for and vote.
"The elections were agreed upon next December 24, after the consolidation of power in Libya by choosing a new presidential council consisting of a president, two deputies, and a government of national unity," the council’s media advisor, Fathi Al-Marimi, said.
Last Sunday, the Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Williams, announced the establishment of the advisory committee emanating from the Political Dialogue Forum, expressing her gratitude to the members of the forum for their effective and constructive participation.
The mission stated, in a statement, that it had received a total of 28 nominations and recommendations from the forum, praising the "enthusiasm" shown by the forum members in the nomination and recommendation process.
